About the Role Jaypro Sports is seeking an Indoor Gymnasium/Outdoor Construction Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for indoor and outdoor athletic facility projects. This role focuses on reviewing architectural documents, performing material take‑offs, developing pricing, and supporting sales and engineering teams through the bidding process. Key Responsibilities Review and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents for indoor gymnasium projects. Perform detailed quantity take-offs for equipment such as basketball systems, volleyball systems, divider curtains, batting cages, wall padding, and custom athletic equipment. Develop cost estimates for materials, equipment, freight, and related project expenses. Coordinate with engineering and product specialists to ensure proposals meet technical and structural requirements. Communicate with vendors and subcontractors for pricing and scope clarification. Maintain estimating records, pricing templates, historical cost data, and documentation. Support sales teams during pre‑bid and post‑bid discussions as needed. Qualifications Required Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency with estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and PDF markup tools (such as Bluebeam). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines with high accuracy. Preferred 1-3 years of construction estimating experience, preferably in architectural specialties or commercial construction. Knowledge of commercial construction practices and technical detailing. Degree in Construction Management or related field.
