Job Description:
I'm partnered with a highly respected commercial construction firm that is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its growing team in the Wilmington, Delaware area. This organization has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across multiple sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys working on diverse commercial projects, and wants to be part of a company with a strong pipeline of work and long-term stability What you will be doing: Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare comprehensive estimates. Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analyses. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals. Develop detailed project budgets and bid packages. Analyze project risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities. Collaborate with operations, project management, and preconstruction teams. Maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners. Participate in bid reviews and project handoff meetings. Monitor market pricing trends and material costs. What you need for this position: 5+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction. Experience working for a General Contractor. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
