$100,000 - $160,000My client needs an electrical estimator based in Florida. The estimator should know about various commercial electrical systems. If you have 5+ years of electrical estimating experience in a new construction environment, please apply!Job ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation of detailed quantity take-offs, labor assessments, and material cost estimates for electrical systemsAnalyze project plans, specifications, addenda, and scopes of work to determine accurate project requirementsDevelop complete bid proposals, including subcontractor and vendor scope reviews, pricing evaluations, and qualification statementsManage communication with subcontractors and suppliers to solicit, review, and level quotesPrepare and present estimate summaries, cost breakdowns, and risk assessments to managementParticipate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions to clarify project conditions and expectationsMaintain and refine estimating tools, templates, and historical cost data to improve accuracy and efficiencySupport project hand-off meetings and collaborate with operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from estimate to executionMentor junior estimators by providing guidance, technical support, and quality reviewEnsure all estimates meet internal standards for accuracy, completeness, and timely deliverySkills Required1+ years of experience in electrical estimating, contracting, or related construction disciplinesStrong proficiency in blueprint reading, electrical system design interpretation, and construction documentationAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with estimating software and digital take-off tools strongly preferredDeep understanding of electrical systems, installation methods, labor productivity, and industry cost driversEffective communication skills for interacting with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teamsValid driver's license and reliable transportationclose attention to detail and accuracy in all project documentation.
