G Microsoft Project Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Senior Estimator's primary goal at ACP is forecasting (applying the company's newest technology, collaborating with our in-house industry knowledge experts) the total time, labor, and materials required to complete a project by estimating with accurate data that will dictate the company's bid price and ultimate profitability. All County Paving is an established pavement, roadway and civil construction firm based in Delray Beach, Florida, seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our high-performance team. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in full site development and civil construction, thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, and is ready to take ownership of the entire estimating process — from plan review through bid submission and subcontractor coordination. This is a key role with direct impact on project pipeline, profitability, and team development. We value precision, accountability, and a collaborative spirit. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates for civil and site development projects
- Lead the full bid process from plan review, quantity takeoff, scope development, and bid submission
- Manage and coordinate subcontractor solicitation, bid leveling, and award recommendations
- Execute municipal bidding for City and County contracts including all required documentation
- Review and analyze bid documents, specifications, and drawings for accuracy and completeness
- Develop project schedules using Microsoft Project
- Process and set up AIA billing in coordination with project management teams
- Mentor junior estimating team — leadership and team-building are essential
- Collaborate with operations, project management, and executive leadership on bid strategy
- Direct Report to Estimating Chief Preconstruction Leadership
- Maintain high-volume output with consistent quality and adherence to bid deadlines

- Minimum 7+ years of estimating experience in civil/site development construction
- Florida market experience strongly preferred; candidates from comparable markets will be considered
- Demonstrated success managing competitive municipal bids (City, County, FDOT, etc.)
- Proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple simultaneous bids under deadline
