Job Description Job Description Job Description Entry-Level Civil Estimator Tek Civil Construction Tek Civil Construction is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Entry-Level Civil Estimator to join our team. This position is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in civil construction estimating. While prior estimating experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right candidate and teach them how to prepare complete civil construction estimates from start to finish. Responsibilities Review construction plans, specifications, and bid documents. Perform quantity takeoffs for civil construction projects. Assist in preparing project budgets, estimates, and bid proposals. Request and analyze pricing from subcontractors and suppliers. Organize and maintain estimating files and bid documentation. Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings as needed. Work directly with senior estimators and project managers to develop accurate project pricing. Learn estimating procedures for utilities, drainage, water and sewer systems, paving, site development, earthwork, and other civil construction scopes. Qualifications Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good math, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer skills. Experience with estimating or takeoff software is preferred. Familiarity with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Agtek, HeavyBid, On-Screen Takeoff, AutoCAD, or similar software is a plus. Ability to read construction drawings is preferred but not required. Construction, engineering, surveying, or estimating experience is a plus. Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
