Job Description

Stan Weaver & Company, Inc . is the leading manufacturer's representative with offices in Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Miami, and Palm Beach. The company represents the leading manufacturers in the air distribution industry. Products are promoted to engineers and owners through our staff of engineers and sold to contractors through our experienced sales team.
Position:
Estimator The Estimator will review and execute bids on multiple and/or more projects. This position is responsible for all aspects of the estimating and bid process, from review of plans and specifications, to soliciting quotes from the manufacturers.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage cost estimates for assigned estimating projects in a fast-paced environment. Coordinate with customers, manufacturers, and sales teams on estimating projects. Learn about a wide range of mechanical products and understand the applied applications. Performs other duties as assigned. Reports directly to the Branch Manager and/or
Estimating Manager Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to read and understand construction documents including plans and specifications, with emphasis on mechanical plans. Excel in critical thinking, analytics, and applied business/construction mathematics. Process detailed information quickly at a timely pace, attention to detail and ability to complete work on time is essential to this position. Candidate should have strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in computer usage; position is 100% computer based with requirements to use Microsoft Office Suite as well as estimating software (Training provided).
Requirements:
High School degree or equivalent Minimum 1-year Industrial or technical training beyond High School Diploma or equivalent. Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience. Some travel may be required for training; travel expenses are covered by the company.
