Job Description
Project Estimator II 12-Month Contract, Up to $30.74/hr Juno Beach, Florida We are currently seeking a Project Estimator II to join our client's project estimating team in Juno Beach, Florida on a 12-month contract basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing and managing cost estimates for a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and energy projects. This position offers strong growth potential and exposure to a wide range of technologies including utility-scale solar, wind, battery energy storage, substations, transmission & distribution lines, hydrogen, pipelines, water treatment, 5G & fiber, and conventional generation projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed project cost estimates including conceptual, preliminary, and definitive estimates for new and existing projects Perform conceptual engineering design and assist in developing preliminary construction plans to support scope quantification Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather project specifications, drawings, and supporting documentation Support value engineering initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality and technical requirements Develop and maintain estimating tools, methodologies, and databases to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency Conduct project risk assessments and support contingency development for project uncertainties Present estimating data and value engineering options to project stakeholders and management teams Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure best value Track project costs and variances throughout the project lifecycle and update estimates as project scope evolves Ensure all estimating activities comply with company standards, industry regulations, and project requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and equipment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment Strong willingness to learn and develop professionally within project estimating Preferred Qualifications Internship or practical experience within construction management, engineering, or related industries Experience using estimating software such as PlanSwift, WinEst, CostX, or similar tools Familiarity with project management software including MS Project or Primavera P6 Work Environment Office-based role located in Juno Beach, FL Occasional travel to project sites for meetings, inspections, and collaboration activities Fast-paced project environment requiring effective prioritization and multitasking abilities ...
