Use cost estimating and drafting software, including AutoCAD, to review construction drawings, perform quantity takeoffs, and support cost calculations. Develop detailed cost breakdowns, budgets, and bid proposals for construction and engineering projects. Coordinate with engineers, architects, vendors, and subcontractors to obtain pricing information, clarify technical requirements, and verify cost data. Review historical cost data and current market conditions to improve the accuracy of estimates. Prepare written reports and documentation supporting cost estimates for internal review and decision-making. Update and revise cost estimates as project scope, design, or specifications change.
