Job Description
Summary We are a family-owned Hurricane Window, Door, and Shutter installer in Southwest Florida. We perform work in Collier and Lee Counties and are seeking to grow our team with a detail-oriented Estimator / Engineer who can help quote residential and commercial projects. This role is ideal for someone who understands construction, enjoys solving problems, is analytical, communicates well, and wants long-term growth opportunities within a growing company. Required Experience 3+ years in construction estimating (estimation in windows, doors, and shutters specifically is preferred but not required) Comfortable reading plans and blueprints Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Key Responsibilities Review plans, drawings, material lists, and salesman generated summaries for window, door, and shutter projects Prepare accurate estimates and proposals Do quantity take-offs for materials and labor Work with subcontractors and quoting portals to get raw material costs for the project and make sure products match client requirements Keep track of project budgets, schedules, and change orders Collaborate with clients and the sales team to review options and make recommendations Qualifications Exceptional organizational, time-management, and analytical skills Strong ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to learn how to use vendor quoting portals Strong computer skills, including experience with quoting software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office High attention to detail and accuracy Self-motivated and proactive with strong problem-solving abilities What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Paid time off (PTO) 401(k) Matching Ongoing training and professional development Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who has estimating / quoting experience within the construction industry, thrives in a fast-paced environment, is detail-oriented and analytical, embraces technology, and takes ownership of their work.
