This role focuses on preparing accurate, competitive estimates that support winning work across industrial, institutional, healthcare, education, aerospace, and public sector markets. The ideal candidate brings strong electrical construction knowledge, estimating expertise, and the ability to evaluate risk, scope, and cost with precision across a range of complex projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates for commercial, industrial, institutional, and public sector electrical projects Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documentation Perform material takeoffs and build estimates using Accubid or similar estimating software Solicit, review, and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks, and value engineering opportunities Develop labor productivity assumptions, material budgets, and complete bid summaries Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and internal estimate reviews Support seamless project handoff to operations after award Maintain bid accuracy while managing multiple concurrent deadlines Required Qualifications Experience estimating electrical construction projects in commercial, industrial, or institutional environments Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation methods, and construction documentation Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and bid instructions Working knowledge of labor units, material pricing, subcontractor scope, and project risk assessment Proficiency with Accubid (or similar estimating software), Bluebeam, and Excel Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills Ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines without sacrificing accuracy Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of electrical estimating experience Hands-on field experience in electrical construction Experience with design-build, conceptual estimating, and negotiated work Proven track record estimating projects ranging from $100K to $20M+ Background in critical infrastructure sectors such as water/wastewater, healthcare, education, or aerospace Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Full benefits package Paid time off and holidays Vehicle allowance or company vehicle (where applicable) #P1
