Civil Estimator Grovin Construction Melrose, FL Job Details Full-time 6 days ago Qualifications Vendor relationship building Customer communication Driver's License Estimating construction project budgets Full Job Description Grovin Farms is a Site Development and General Contracting company headquartered in Melrose, Florida with project sites throughout the state. Grovin Farms is looking for an experienced, outgoing civil estimator to join our team.
We are looking for someone:
- With 1 to 3 years experience as an estimator for a general contractor in both the private and public sector.
- Detailed orientated.
- Familiar with and comfortable going to a job/construction-site.
- With a competitive attitude because he/she wants to win bids.
- Able to multitask, meet deadlines, and manage his/her own schedule.
- With outstanding communication skills both verbal and written.
- With strong organization skills.
- Who contributes to our positive and team-oriented work environment.
Responsibilities will include:
- Finding jobs to bid on both from databases and in person job-site visits.
- Prepare, review and evaluate bid opportunities.
- Read and comprehend Instructions to bidders, the Contract and Bid Documents, including compliance with all requirements.
- Attending pre-bid meetings when necessary.
- Managing and reviewing bid prices from all vendors and comparing them to the drawings for accuracy.
- Reading blueprints for all aspects of construction including site development.
- Creating opportunities and maximizing revenue.
- Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
- Interact and effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors and other Grovin team members.
