DRYWALL ESTIMATOR DIVISION 9. HDZ
Builders, Inc. seeks a Drywall Estimator Division 9 at 2801 NW 74th Ave., Suite 220, Miami, FL 33122.
Duties:
Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for gypsum board systems, metal framing, insulation, acoustical ceilings, and related Division 9 finishes using architectural and structural drawings, specifications, addenda, RFIs, and ASIs; review and analyze project documents to define Division 9 scope, identify required materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services, and note inclusions, exclusions, and assumptions impacting pricing; develop itemized estimates, budgets, and bid proposals, including labor productivity and crew assumptions, material and equipment pricing, and subcontractor and vendor quotations for drywall, framing, taping, finishing, and associated accessories; perform digital takeoffs and assemble pricing using estimating and takeoff software and spreadsheets, including Excel and other similar tools, to generate quantities, assemblies, and cost breakdowns for Division 9 work; coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel to resolve scope questions, constructability issues, sequencing, and phasing related to drywall and finish activities; attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits, as needed, to evaluate existing conditions, access, logistics, and risk factors affecting Division 9 estimating; solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier proposals, confirm alignment with drawings and specifications, and incorporate selected quotations into final estimates consistent with company standards; support value engineering for drywall and finish systems by analyzing alternatives, preparing pricing comparisons, and recommending cost-effective options that maintain design intent; prepare detailed quantity and cost summaries for internal reporting and client or bid presentations, and support contract negotiation and buyout by explaining estimate assumptions, clarifications, and scope narratives; and maintain and update historical cost data, unit pricing, and productivity references for Division 9 work based on awarded projects, field feedback, and market conditions.
Requirements:
24 months of experience as Cost Estimators (SOC 13-1051).
