The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for glass and glazing projects. This role involves interpreting architectural drawings, collaborating with suppliers, and working closely with project managers and the sales team to deliver precise bids in a timely manner. Applicant must be proficient in
AutoCad Key Responsibilities:
Review architectural plans, specifications, and bid invitations to determine project scope and requirements Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services Perform quantity take-offs for glass, aluminum, hardware, and related systems Solicit pricing and availability from suppliers and vendors Work closely with the project management and sales teams to ensure all estimates align with project goals Track and manage bid due dates, RFIs, and proposal submissions Maintain and update pricing databases, historical cost data, and project files Participate in project hand-off meetings to transition awarded projects to the operations team Stay current with industry trends, pricing, and materials in the glazing sector within budget.
