Commercial Roofing Estimator

Job Overview We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial roofing, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to create accurate and competitive project estimates. This role is critical in ensuring that our bids are both profitable and competitive in the market.

Responsibilities Project Estimation:

Analyze project specifications, drawings, and plans to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial roofing projects. Determine the materials, labor, and equipment needed to complete projects.

Bid Preparation:

Develop comprehensive bid proposals, including cost breakdowns, timelines, and scope of work. Ensure bids are competitive and meet company profit margin goals.

Client Communication:

Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to gather project requirements and clarify any uncertainties. Provide timely and professional responses to client inquiries and requests.

Supplier and Subcontractor Coordination:

Obtain and review quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accuracy and cost-efficiency. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.

Cost Analysis:

Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risks. Update and maintain cost databases and pricing schedules.

Site Visits:

Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and verify measurements. Ensure all site information is accurately documented and considered in the estimate.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain comprehensive records of all estimates, bids, and project documentation. Prepare and present reports on bid status, project costs, and profitability.

Qualifications Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in estimating, specifically in commercial roofing.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret complex project plans and specifications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in estimating software and tools. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. In-depth knowledge of commercial roofing materials, techniques, and industry standards.

Pay:

From $85,000.00 per year
