Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our construction team in Palm Beach County. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and/or residential construction projects from conceptual design through final bid submission. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing multiple bids simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and/or residential construction projects Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate material, labor, and subcontractor costs Perform quantity takeoffs and develop complete bid packages Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure competitive and accurate estimates Work closely with project managers, executives, and field teams to support preconstruction planning Identify value engineering opportunities to improve project profitability Maintain and update cost databases based on market trends and historical data Participate in bid reviews, scope analysis, and handoff meetings with operations teams Ensure all estimates are completed accurately and submitted within required deadlines Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients

Qualifications:

7+ years of estimating experience in commercial or residential construction Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing structures Experience with quantity takeoff and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, Procore) Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills Experience in Palm Beach County or South Florida construction market preferred High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously

Preferred Experience:

Commercial construction (schools, healthcare, multifamily, office, municipal projects) General contracting or subcontracting estimating background Value engineering and preconstruction involvement Strong vendor and subcontractor network in
