Senior Estimator Job Type:
Full-Time, SalariedIndustry:
Construction / Government Contracting Position Overview The Senior Construction Estimator drives the full estimating process for large-scale, complex projects, delivering comprehensive budgets and competitive proposals. By thoroughly reviewing plans and specifications, they forecast project costs and identify opportunities for value engineering. The role includes cultivating subcontractor partnerships, strengthening bid strategy, and mentoring junior team members to elevate overall estimating performance. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and competitive bids for complex projects Analyze plans and specifications to forecast labor, material, and equipment costs Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs Review project documents to assess risk and ensure accuracy Mentor and support junior estimating staff Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred) 5-10 years of experience in construction estimating, coordination, or field work (preferred) Familiarity with reading blueprints and specifications Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with PlanSwift or Bluebeam a plus Strong attention to detail, math skills, and time management Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines Eagerness to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment What We Offer Competitive base salary (based on experience) Performance bonus eligible Health insurance available within 15 days of hire 401(k) with 100% company match up to 4% Full-time, salaried position
