What You'll Be Doing Using Tekla Structures as the single source of truth for quantity take-offs, material lists, and labor assumptions Translating constructible 3D steel models into accurate, disciplined cost data Working alongside senior estimators during live bids and learning bid strategy in real time Preparing bid packages, detailed cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation Supporting projects from bid stage through execution, ensuring clean, well-structured handovers to operations This is not a model-only role. You will be developed to think in cost drivers, risk, efficiency, and margin - not just geometry. What They're Looking For 3+ years' experience in Tekla Structures / structural steel detailing Strong understanding of structural steel fundamentals and constructability Comfortable extracting quantities and converting them into logical cost assumptions Basic to intermediate Excel / MIS skills (macros helpful, not essential)
