About Us Founded in 2017, Estess Utility Services is an independently and locally owned clearing and grading company located in Fortson, Georgia. We provide forestry mulching, clearing, grading, excavating, and utility support services to major utility companies and home builders across the state. We are a rapidly growing small business that prides itself in top-tier craftsmanship and personnel. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will analyze project blueprints, specifications, and site conditions to construct accurate, competitive bids for clearing, grading, and earthmoving projects. If you are a numbers-driven professional with a background in civil construction or site development, we want to hear from you. No drone license or specific software certification yet? No problem—we will fully train and certify the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Review and evaluate construction drawings, specifications, and RFPs for power utility and residential subdivision projects. Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for clearing, grubbing, earthwork, and grading. Prepare comprehensive, competitive bid proposals and budget estimates. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and field superintendents to ensure project scope alignment. Utilize advanced estimating software and GPS modeling tools to maximize bid accuracy. What We Are Looking For A minimum of 4 years proven experience in construction estimating (experience in clearing, grading, earthmoving, or civil site-work.) Bachelor's degree in a relative subject is perferred but not required. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, civil engineering plans, and geotechnical reports. Proficiency with math, spatial awareness, and conceptual estimating. A self-starter attitude with sharp attention to detail and strong communication skills. Valid driver's license and willingness to visit local project sites when necessary. What We Provide (Company-Paid Training & Tools) We believe in investing in our team's professional growth. Benefits & Compensation Competitive Salary:
$80,000 - $100,000 (commensurate with experience).
Paid Time Off:
2 weeks of annual PTO.

Company-Paid Major Holidays Pay:
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
