Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Estimator position is responsible for learning and applying basic estimating skills to create project estimates within our internal systems. Using provided software and training, the Estimator will complete take-offs based on predetermined settings, pricing, and materials. This role is designed as an entry-level position with opportunities to develop knowledge and grow within the company.
Position Responsibilities:
Review project specifications and blueprints to create take-offs within our internal system Follow established processes and guidelines to ensure accurate and consistent estimates Apply basic problem-solving skills to work through tasks and escalate questions when needed Collaborate with the Estimating and Sales teams to support timely project completion Complete general administrative tasks, including data entry and file organization using Microsoft and Adobe software systems Maintain attention to detail and a willingness to learn new systems and processes Perform other duties as assigned by manager
Position Requirements:
0-2 years of experience in estimating, take-offs, or the construction industry preferred; willingness to learn is essential Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, or a desire to develop this skill Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy Willingness to develop problem-solving and analytical skills through training and hands-on experience Ability to think critically and ask questions to better understand processes Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal Interest in learning construction materials, methods, and industry practices Basic time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude Organized with the ability to follow structured processes and systems Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe software; ability to learn new systems and internal software quickly High school diploma or equivalent required
