Job Description

Job Overview:
Proconest is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Construction Cost Analyst to support residential and commercial construction estimating projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating project costs, analyzing budgets, preparing cost reports, and assisting the estimating team with accurate pricing and financial forecasting throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation to determine project costs Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services Monitor project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities Assist in preparing bid proposals and tender submissions Conduct quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis Review vendor and subcontractor quotations for accuracy and competitiveness Maintain databases of construction costs, materials, and market pricing trends Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and clients to ensure accurate budgeting Prepare financial reports, forecasting models, and variance analyses Support project planning and preconstruction activities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field preferred 2+ years of experience in construction estimating, cost analysis, or project controls Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and budgeting processes Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Excel Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Pay:
$38.00 - $44.00 per hour
