Senior Estimator — Sitework / Grading / Utilities Atlanta Metro • Full-Time • On-Site Opportunity A confidential site development contractor in the Atlanta area is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their estimating team. This position requires expertise in pricing full site packages, understanding site construction, reading civil plans competently, and independently developing bids. The projects involve site construction, grading, earthwork, utilities, paving, erosion control, and more, typically ranging from $4M to $30M in size. This role offers autonomy, direct access to leadership, and opportunities for growth within an established Atlanta contractor. Compensation $130K-$170K base salary + 20% bonus potential Full benefits package. Relocation assistance can be considered for the right candidate. Requirements The ideal candidate will have experience estimating sitework, heavy civil work, and underground utilities, with the ability to work independently.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing complete estimates for site development projects Pricing various scopes such as grading, paving, utilities, and more Reading civil plans, identifying scope gaps, and strategizing bids Collaborating with leadership on bid approach Coordinating pricing with subcontractors and suppliers Ensuring a smooth handoff to operations post-award Defending estimates and pricing work independently Qualifications Minimum of 5 years estimating experience in sitework, grading, or heavy civil work Preference for experience with self-perform civil/site contractors Proven track record bidding on projects ranging from $4M to $30M Proficiency in civil plan reading and quantity takeoffs Knowledge of AGTEK and HCSS HeavyBid is a plus Ability to price work independently and justify estimates Atlanta-area experience preferred, but open to relocation for the right candidate Preferred Skills Experience with B2W / Trimble estimating software Familiarity with Carlson, Trimble Business Center, or related tools Established relationships with local subcontractors and suppliers in Atlanta Mentoring or leadership experience in estimating Field background in grading, utilities, or site development Benefits of This Role This role offers autonomy, significant growth potential, and the chance to shape the future of the estimating team within a reputable contractor.
