We seek an experienced professionals capable of independently managing and pricing comprehensive site projects. You will operate in a dynamic environment that involves site construction, grading, earth movement, utilities implementation, paving, and erosion control. Typically overseeing projects ranging from $4M to $30M, this role offers significant autonomy, direct interaction with executive leadership, and ample opportunities for career progression within a respected Atlanta contractor. Responsibilities include crafting detailed estimates for site development tasks, assessing various scopes including grading, utility placement, and site concrete work, and evaluating civil plans to pinpoint potential challenges early in the process. You'll execute quantity takeoffs, formulate bid strategies, collaborate closely with senior leadership on bid approaches, and streamline subcontractor and supplier pricing. Upon project award, you will coordinate a smooth transition to operations, maintaining independence in your work methodology. Ideal candidates have over five years of experience in estimating site work, grading, earthwork, utilities, or heavy civil construction. Experience working with self-performing civil/site contractors is an asset. Preferred skills include proven expertise in bidding projects within the specified range, strong capabilities in reading civil plans and quantity takeoffs, as well as proficiency in AGTEK and HCSS HeavyBid software. Familiarity with the Atlanta construction market is a plus, though we are open to relocating the right candidate. Additional advantageous skills include proficiency in B2W / Trimble estimating software, knowledge of tools like Carlson and Bluebeam, and established relationships with local subcontractors and suppliers. Experience mentoring junior estimators or assisting estimating leadership can set you apart.
