Job Description
Duties:
- Prepare accurate and timely construction cost estimates for projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Utilize construction management software such as Chief Architect to create detailed estimates
- Analyze project drawings and specifications to identify potential cost-saving opportunities
- Conduct site visits and evaluations to assess project requirements and conditions
- Prepare detailed take-offs and quantity surveys for various construction materials and labor costs
- Develop comprehensive cost breakdowns and pricing proposals for clients
- Good Customer service and communications skills are a must
