• Metal Buildings Construction Estimator Leander Construction, a Central Illinois general contractor, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Construction Estimator to join our team.

This role is critical to our preconstruction process, helping to ensure accurate, competitive, and well-planned project bids. We're looking for a candidate who can evaluate project documents, develop reliable cost estimates, and collaborate with our project management team to set projects up for success. Qualifications 3-5 years of commercial construction experience in construction estimating Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience preferred Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost structures Key Responsibilities Estimating & Preconstruction Prepare conceptual and detailed cost estimates Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing Assist with value engineering and scope review Collaborate with project managers to support project handoff and budgeting Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating/project management software High attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Compensation & Benefits Compensation is commensurate with experience.
