Job Description

Job Overview Central State Construction is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Electrical Estimator to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for primarily industrial, commercial, residential electrical construction projects, including both design-build and plan-and-spec work. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, motivated, organized, and interested in long-term growth within the company while supporting the current team and helping expand the business . Interested in advancing within the company and pursuing future promotion opportunities. Communicates well with team and clients and in a professional manner. Takes ownership of work Team-Oriented Duties Prepare accurate and complete electrical estimates for bid submissions Review drawings, specifications, and project documents Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal project teams Assist with project turnover and handoff to operations Identify scope gaps, exclusions, and potential cost impacts Support multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously Must Meet at Least One of the
Following Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED with at least 7 years of electrical estimating experience. IBEW Journeyman Electrician with at least 2 years of electrical estimating experience Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field with at least 5 years of electrical estimating experience. Software Requirments Candidates must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience with electrical estimating, takeoff, and project management software is preferred. Familiarity with platforms such as ConEst, Procore, Trimble, or similar construction software is beneficial.'
