In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project plans and specifications, and collaborating closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Your expertise will help ensure competitive pricing, effective cost control, and successful project delivery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile construction projects while honing your skills in construction estimating and project management. Duties Review detailed project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop comprehensive estimates Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare precise cost proposals Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and material pricing analysis to determine project costs Engage in negotiation with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and terms Analyze project risks, identify potential cost overruns, and implement effective cost control measures Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to align estimates with project scope and schedules Assist in the preparation of bid packages, contracts, and scope of work documents Support project management efforts by providing ongoing cost updates and variance analysis throughout the project lifecycle Experience Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs Hands-on experience with Bluebeam for digital plan review and markup processes Familiarity with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly preferred Demonstrated ability in negotiation, contract review, and cost control strategies within a construction environment Construction site experience is advantageous for understanding on-the-ground realities impacting estimates Knowledge of construction management principles, including scheduling, safety standards, and project delivery methods Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams Join us as an Estimator to play a vital role in shaping successful construction projects through precise estimation and strategic collaboration.
