Direct Hire We are partnering with a manufacturing client in the Wood Dale area seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong manufacturing background who can accurately analyze project costs, review technical drawings/specifications, and support quoting activities for customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for manufacturing projects and customer orders Review blueprints, drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications to determine labor, material, and production costs Collaborate with engineering, production, purchasing, and sales teams to gather required estimating information Analyze manufacturing methods, cycle times, tooling, and material requirements Maintain pricing databases, vendor quotes, and estimating documentation Assist with cost reduction initiatives and process improvement efforts Communicate directly with customers regarding quote clarifications and project requirements Ensure estimates align with production capabilities, timelines, and profitability goals

Qualifications:

3+ years of estimating experience within a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production workflows Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience:
