We provide comprehensive design and build solutions across the United States and hold engineering and construction registrations, licenses, and certifications in more than 30 states. Position Summary The Estimator - Electrical is responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects within the Indiana region. This role evaluates project documents, performs detailed takeoffs, and develops complete bid proposals covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. The Electrical Estimator collaborates closely with project managers, engineers, vendors, and clients to define scope, identify risks, and support profitable project pursuits. Primary Responsibilities and Duties Review and evaluate project plans, specifications, bid documents, and other relevant materials to determine electrical scope and requirements Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and calculate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs Request, review, and validate vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure accuracy and alignment with bid requirements Analyze projects for value engineering opportunities while maintaining safety, quality, and code compliance Identify inconsistencies, conflicts, omissions, and risk factors within bid documents and recommend resolutions Support preconstruction planning by providing accurate cost data and input on project requirements and constraints Maintain organized and accurate project documentation, estimates, and electronic files in accordance with company standards Prepare cost reconciliations between multiple estimates and clearly explain cost drivers and variances Collaborate with project managers and field leadership during project handoff to communicate estimating assumptions Prepare complete bid packages, including detailed scope letters and supporting documentation Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and internal review sessions as required Perform additional duties as assigned to support preconstruction and operations teams Traits and Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines Proficiency in electrical estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications Strong communication and collaboration skills Dependable, resourceful, and self-motivated Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
