Long Term Placement MEP Estimator Responsibilities:

Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and contract documents to understand scope of work and requirements for MEP systems Perform material take-offs and quantify labor, equipment, subcontractor costs, and overhead Prepare detailed cost estimates, proposals, and bid documents using estimating software Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and owners to ensure estimates align with project requirements and schedules Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and bid strategy sessions to clarify scope and resolve discrepancies Monitor and update estimates throughout the project lifecycle, tracking changes and providing cost analysis Assess constructability, logistics, and project sequencing to support efficient and competitive bid strategies Organize and manage bid day activities, including communication with internal teams and subcontractors Identify permit requirements, bonding, insurance, and project-related indirect costs Prepare job costing reports and support subcontract and purchase order development Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers MEP Estimator Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating, with a focus on MEP trades Strong understanding of commercial construction practices, estimating methods, and contract documents Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office tools Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (experience may substitute) TalentLogistiX is a workforce business solutions provider.
