Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Service Estimator to join our service division. This position is responsible for visiting customer sites, assessing fire sprinkler systems, and preparing accurate estimates for service and repair work. The ideal candidate has a strong background in fire protection systems, the ability to identify material and labor requirements in the field, and excellent communication skills to support customers and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Conduct site visits to assess system conditions and identify required repairs or upgrades. Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for service work, including material, labor, and equipment needs. Work with service technicians to confirm scope of work and develop repair strategies. Provide detailed repair proposals and communicate with customers regarding scope, pricing, and timelines. Source and price materials, equipment, and subcontractor services when required. Support the service manager with scheduling and planning repair work. Maintain accurate records of quotes, proposals, and follow-up activity. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in fire sprinkler service, installation, or estimating. In-depth knowledge of fire protection systems and NFPA standards. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and as-built conditions. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify practical repair solutions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with estimating tools/software a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites. Preferred NICET certification in Inspection & Testing or Water-Based Systems Layout.
