Responsibilities:
Building trusting relationships with all customers. Deepening existing relationships and creating new ones Meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals Staying up to date on construction codes and regulations Identifying and mitigating potential project risks Building preliminary budgets Building final projects estimates Creating and maintaining historic cost database Coordinating subcontractor proposals for proper coverage Review subcontractor proposals to ensure completeness Creating opportunity proposals in the system with amounts and forecast Delivering accurate and timely proposals Creating initial schedule durations for the stakeholders Communicating effectively with project stakeholders including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors Managing your pipeline by communicating with clients and forecasting accurately
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Capacity to live and work within the Nexus 5 Core Values (Integrity, Commitment, Customer Fulfillment, Team Member Fulfillment, and Community Impact) A great attitude and character is required. Eagerness to fit into a family type atmosphere. Ability to have fun but work hard. Strong desire to win, self-motivated. Capacity to motivate, lead and boost morale of the teams. Direct knowledge and experience in estimating commercial projects. Effective time management and logical decision-making ability. Capacity to handle pressure. Always looking for a way to improve the company and self (entrepreneurial spirit). Ability to effectively manage client relationships and build goodwill. High sense of urgency. Strong focus on quality. Proven problem solving skills. Minimum 5 years' experience in construction projects (preferably multi-family and commercial construction). A four-year Bachelor's degree in construction management is preferred but not required. Thorough knowledge of OSHA safety standards is essential.
Computer Skills:
MS Office, MS Project, Bluebeam preferred. To be hired, candidates will be required to successfully complete a background check and drug test. Nexus 5 Group is an equal opportunity employer.
