Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating and industrial/commercial services. Job Description Davis H. Elliot is seeking an estimating co-op to assist estimators in developing accurate cost estimates for electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and telecommunications construction projects. This role is responsible for performing quantity takeoffs and assisting with pre-construction activities. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for materials and labor related to electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and telecommunications systems Manage and coordinate bid information among clients, general contractors, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams Prepare scope letters and project quotations for review by estimators and managers Assist Project Managers during the pre-construction phase Support senior estimators on large and complex estimates Qualifications Basic knowledge of the trades and general construction practices Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Strong general computer skills Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and contract documents Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with Accubid estimating software (preferred but not required) Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail Benefits/Culture Today, we are listed among Engineering News-Records Top 150 Specialty Contracting firms.
