We specialize in access control, video surveillance, structured cabling, audio/video systems, and related low-voltage technologies throughout Kentucky and surrounding markets. Position Overview This position is responsible for transforming site surveys, construction drawings, and project requirements into professional customer proposals and estimates. Our Operations Manager will review project drawings, and our sales team will conduct site visits and customer meetings. Your role will be to gather that information, develop accurate material and labor estimates, and prepare polished proposals for customer review. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys organization, technical documentation, estimating, and proposal writing. Responsibilities Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents Analyze information gathered during site visits Develop material takeoffs and labor estimates Create professional customer proposals and scope-of-work documents Coordinate with operations, sales, and project management teams Request vendor pricing and maintain pricing databases Track proposal status and revisions Assist with change orders Maintain estimating templates and proposal standards Qualifications Strong organizational and communication skills Experience reviewing construction drawings and specifications preferred Experience in estimating, project coordination, or proposal writing preferred Knowledge of low-voltage systems is a plus but not required Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong attention to detail Preferred Background Candidates with experience in any of the following are encouraged to apply: Commercial construction estimating Electrical estimating Low-voltage systems Project coordination Construction administration Technical proposal writing What Success Looks Like Accurate, professional proposals delivered quickly Consistent estimating processes Strong margin protection Clear scopes of work with minimal ambiguity Improved proposal turnaround times Compensation Competitive salary based on experience, plus performance incentives tied to proposal volume, accuracy, and company growth.
