• Friday, standard business hours Potential for hybrid flexibility Overview We are looking for a Commercial Roofing Estimator to join a growing team in Baton Rouge, LA.

This role is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive estimates for commercial roofing projects, ensuring profitability while supporting successful project execution. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands commercial roofing systems, enjoys working with numbers, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do Estimating & Preconstruction Review plans, specs, and bid documents to understand project scope Perform take-offs and quantify materials quickly and accurately Conduct site visits when needed to gather project details Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead Develop competitive proposals for new construction, reroof, and restoration projects Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination Solicit and review pricing from suppliers and subcontractors Compare bids and ensure competitive, accurate costing Collaboration Work closely with Project Managers and Sales teams from bid through project completion Build relationships with General Contractors and follow up on bids Data & Reporting Maintain historical cost data to improve future estimates Prepare reports and present proposals internally and to clients Market Awareness Stay current on roofing systems, materials, and industry trends Understand local codes and market conditions to stay competitive Quality & Compliance Ensure all estimates meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards Continuously improve estimating accuracy and efficiency What You Bring 3+ years of estimating experience, preferably in commercial roofing Strong knowledge of roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified, Metal, etc.) Experience reading blueprints, specs, and bid documents Proficiency with estimating software (EDGE preferred) and Microsoft Office Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines Must have a valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed Work Environment Combination of office work and field/site visits Occasional overtime to meet bid deadlines Must be comfortable working at heights when needed Preferred Qualifications Experience with EDGE estimating software Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools OSHA 10 or 30 certification Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Why This Opportunity Competitive compensation and benefits Career growth and advancement opportunities Supportive, team-oriented environment Access to modern tools and ongoing training #INDHP
