Overview Alfa Excavation is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our growing team. This position is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for excavation and site development projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of excavation work, ensuring all bids are thorough, precise, and aligned with project requirements. Key Responsibilities Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to fully understand scope and requirements Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors Develop and submit accurate and competitive project bids Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis Identify potential risks and recommend cost-effective solutions Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to obtain pricing Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and supporting documentation Stay current with market pricing, material costs, and industry trends Preferred Experience Background in excavation, earthwork, utilities, or site development Familiarity with local construction regulations and permitting processes Experience working with civil construction projects Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably in excavation or site work Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency with estimating software and construction plans Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication skills Valid driver's license Why Join Alfa Excavation Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Supportive team environment Stable and growing company with diverse projects
