ob Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support cost analysis, program estimation, and financial evaluation efforts for programs within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at Hanscom Air Force Base. The Cost Estimator will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and validating cost estimates across the program lifecycle, ensuring compliance with DoD and Air Force cost estimating standards. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, experience with cost estimating tools, and the ability to support program decision-making through data-driven insights. Key Responsibilities Develop cost estimates using standard methodologies such as analogy, engineering/scientific methods, and extrapolation. Analyze cost estimating outputs to assess the impact of various factors on the lifecycle costs of weapon systems, including design, development, operations, maintenance, and disposal. Support all phases of the budgetary cycle, including planning, programming, justification, and execution. Analyze contractor financial data using Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics to evaluate program cost, schedule, and performance. Utilize the Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT) Suite to perform cost analysis and program estimates (required for
AFLCMC/HN
Directorate support). Conduct comprehensive analytical processes including problem definition, research, data collection, data reduction, modeling, and conclusion development. Identify and analyze cost drivers and elements affecting project costs for programs of varying scope. Ensure compliance with all applicable cost estimating guidance, including DoD, Air Force, AFMC, AFLCMC policies, regulations, and procedures. Prepare reports, briefings, and documentation to support program leadership, acquisition decisions, and financial reviews. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a multi-disciplined environment to support program objectives. Required Qualifications U.S. Citizenship required. Active DoD Secret Security Clearance. Must meet one of the following education and experience requirements: Master's or Doctorate degree in a related field with 10 years of experience , including 5 years supporting DoD programs , OR Bachelor's degree in a related field with 12 years of experience , including 5 years supporting DoD programs , OR 15 years of directly related experience with appropriate certifications, including 8 years supporting DoD programs . Experience using the ACEIT Tool Suite for cost estimation and analysis. Strong understanding of cost estimating methodologies (analogy, engineering, parametric, extrapolation). Knowledge of the USAF acquisition process (preferred). Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and contractor financial analysis. Pay:
