In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project plans, and collaborating closely with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and effective project execution. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality construction projects on time and within budget, fueling our reputation for excellence in the industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your construction estimating skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values innovation and precision. Duties Review detailed project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare accurate bids and proposals efficiently. Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and analyze material costs, labor rates, equipment needs, and subcontractor quotes. Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure favorable pricing while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure estimates align with project scope, schedule, and budget constraints. Monitor ongoing projects for cost control opportunities and provide updates on budget status throughout the bidding process. Assist in contract review and development to ensure clear scope definition and risk mitigation strategies are in place. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating within general contracting; commercial tenant build-out/finish projects are essential. Strong proficiency with Bluebeam for digital plan markup and document management. Familiarity with Microsoft, HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly preferred. Solid understanding of construction management principles, contracts, and project lifecycle processes. Demonstrated ability to perform detailed quantity take-offs and accurate cost analysis. Experience with construction site operations, cost control measures, and pricing strategies. Excellent negotiation skills combined with effective communication abilities to foster strong vendor relationships.
