Job Description:
Drive Production Through Smart Purchasing We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator Technician to support our estimating and purchasing operations. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse operations, or industrial environments who is looking to grow into an estimating and procurement career path. In this role, you will assist with preparing quotes, reviewing material needs, coordinating with vendors, and supporting daily operational activities alongside the Purchasing & Estimating Manager. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, comfortable with basic math calculations, and able to thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment. Experience within printing, labels, or manufacturing processes is a plus. This is an onsite role based in Joppa, MD Your Tasks Assist with reviewing project specifications, drawings, and material requirements Support the preparation of material and labor estimates Request and compare vendor and supplier pricing Assist with purchase orders and tracking material deliveries Maintain vendor and purchasing records Help track inventory, pricing updates, and material availability Enter and maintain accurate data in ERP systems and spreadsheets Support bid preparation and general estimating activities Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings Provide general administrative and operational support to the Purchasing & Estimating Manager Your Profile High school diploma or GED required Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, production, assembly, industrial, or purchasing environments preferred Printing, label, packaging, or production process experience is a plus Strong basic math and measurement skills required Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and material calculations Basic Microsoft Excel and computer skills required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Good communication and teamwork abilities Willingness to learn estimating, purchasing, and procurement processes Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
