Position Summary The Demolition Estimator is responsible for evaluating project plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for demolition projects. This role involves analyzing blueprints and technical documents to determine material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor requirements. The estimator collaborates with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates align with project goals, regulatory compliance, and safety standards. A strong attention to detail and deep understanding of demolition processes are essential for producing reliable budgets that support efficient and successful project execution. Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to: Respond to leads from current and former clients, as well as new prospects. Work to understand the client's needs and the conditions of the project. Develop competitive cost estimates for projects based on available information (site visits, bid documents) Attend pre-bid conferences and conduct site visits. Solicit vendor and subcontractor pricing. Ensure bids are compliant with all safety regulations. Collaborate with peers and review bids with the Division Manager. Perform scope review and buyouts. Conduct post-award buyout with Project Management, Operations and Division Manager. Attending industry events and business development engagements. Assisting with other special tasks as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred but not essential. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in demolition estimating is required Strong understanding of demolition methods and safety standards Proficiency in reading blueprints and performing takeoffs Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations Strong communication skills Analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency with estimating software like Plan Swift, Bluebeam, Procore, etc. Field experience in demolition or construction is highly desirable Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Working Conditions Combination of field and office work Potential exposure to hazardous materials, confined spaces, and outdoor environments Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and required on-site Benefits On-the-job training and professional development Opportunity for career growth within the Safety Department Why Join ACM?
