Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and pricing electrical construction projects, utilizing software tools similar to HeavyBid or Bluebeam. This role requires a strong understanding of construction estimating, contract management, and project management to ensure accurate cost control and successful project execution. Responsibilities Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates. Build and price construction projects. Collaborate with project managers to assess project requirements and timelines. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best pricing. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget constraints. Prepare comprehensive bid proposals for submission to clients. Maintain accurate records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects. Provide support during the bidding process by answering questions from clients or stakeholders. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential. Familiarity with estimating software is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Demonstrated ability in cost control measures within construction projects. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear reporting and collaboration with team members.
