Job Description

Armadio is looking for an experienced, computer-savvy Senior Millwork Estimator / Bid Coordinator who wants to play a key role in building and improving our estimating process as we grow. This is a high-impact position for someone who can take ownership of bid preparation, produce accurate cabinet and millwork estimates, manage deadlines, and submit professional proposals on behalf of the company. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed plan review, organized digital workflows, and working closely with sales, production, purchasing, and leadership to turn project opportunities into profitable, well-scoped bids. Responsibilities Review drawings, elevations, specifications, finish schedules, addenda, and bid documents. Perform detailed takeoffs for cabinets, casework, panels, fillers, toe kicks, moldings, doors, drawer fronts, hardware, accessories, and related millwork components. Prepare accurate estimates for materials, labor, hardware, freight, delivery, packaging, and other project costs. Identify missing information, unclear scope, conflicting details, and project risks. Request clarifications or RFIs as needed. Prepare professional proposals with clear inclusions, exclusions, alternates, assumptions, lead times, payment terms, and expiration dates. Submit bids on behalf of the company by email, customer portal, bid platform, or other required method. Track bid deadlines, addenda, revisions, customer communication, and follow-up items. Coordinate with sales, production, purchasing, vendors, and management to confirm pricing, scope, manufacturability, and lead times. Maintain organized digital records of estimates, drawings, proposals, revisions, and bid correspondence. Help improve estimating templates, bid trackers, pricing tools, and estimating processes. Support change order pricing as project scope changes. Qualifications 7-10 years of estimating experience preferred, ideally in millwork, cabinetry, casework, construction, or architectural products. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, elevations, specifications, schedules, and bid documents. Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly. Proficiency with spreadsheets, PDFs, email, shared drives, and bid portals. Strong math, measurement, takeoff, and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and identify scope, pricing, and margin risks before bid submission. Preferred Experience Cabinetry, architectural millwork, commercial casework, or interior finish estimating. Estimating software, ERP, cabinet design software, or advanced Excel/Google Sheets. Experience with bid portals, RFIs, addenda, alternates, allowances, exclusions, and change orders. Knowledge of plywood, MDF, particleboard, laminate, veneer, thermofoil, painted finishes, stains, hardware, and cabinet accessories.
Pay:
