Estimator

Overview The Estimator is responsible for developing accurate and timely cost estimates by analyzing bills of materials, engineering drawings, specifications, proposals, and related documentation. This role supports pricing, planning, purchasing, and production decisions by providing detailed cost, labor, and material assessments. The Estimator works cross‑functionally with Sales, Engineering, Tooling, and other internal teams to ensure quotes are aligned with customer expectations and company objectives. Responsibilities Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates based on business priorities and customer requirements. Review and interpret engineering prints, BOMs, specifications, and proposals to determine material, labor, and process requirements. Research, compile, and maintain cost data to support consistent and reliable estimating practices. Calculate cost factors and develop estimates used for quoting, purchasing decisions, production planning, scheduling, and vendor selection. Determine appropriate profit margins and evaluate fixed and variable cost impacts; provide pricing options based on customer targets. Collaborate closely with Sales to clarify customer expectations and ensure alignment on scope and deliverables; communicate directly with customers when needed. Partner with Engineering and Tooling teams to identify internal and external manufacturing costs and define process flow for each project phase. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance preferred; degrees in Business, Engineering , or related fields also considered. Equivalent experience in estimating, cost analysis, or manufacturing may be accepted.

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
