In this energetic role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of plumbing systems for commercial buildings, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining high-quality standards. Your expertise will drive project success from initial bid to final contract, supporting our commitment to delivering exceptional construction solutions. Duties Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to develop comprehensive plumbing estimates using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to understand project scope and requirements, ensuring accurate cost projections. Prepare detailed bid proposals that include material costs, labor estimates, equipment needs, and subcontractor quotes. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms. Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather data critical for precise estimation and cost control. Monitor project budgets throughout the bidding process and during construction to ensure adherence to financial targets. Assist in contract review and management, ensuring all estimates align with contractual obligations and project specifications. Requirements Journeyman license is required Minimum 7 years of commercial plumbing field experience Proven experience in construction estimating, particularly within commercial plumbing projects. Strong proficiency with Bluebeam for document markup and review; experience with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly preferred. Solid understanding of construction management principles, including cost control, pricing strategies, and contract administration. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to optimize project costs. Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into field conditions affecting estimates. Knowledge of plumbing systems design, materials, installation processes, and relevant building codes. Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
