Construction Estimator / Project Consultant Problem Solved Property Services - 3.0 Lansing, MI Job Details Full-time $24 - $30 an hour 2 hours ago Benefits 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Vendor relationship building Customer communication Property maintenance Business development Driver's License Attention to detail Organizational skills Full Job Description Job Summary Problem Solved Property Services (PSPS) is seeking a Construction Estimator / Project Consultant to join our growing team serving Mid-Michigan property owners, investors, homeowners associations, property managers, and residential communities. This is not a desk-only estimating position. We are looking for someone who enjoys being in the field, meeting clients, solving problems, and developing scopes of work for a wide variety of projects. As a Construction Estimator / Project Consultant, you will often serve as the first point of contact for our clients while helping develop solutions and scopes of work that meet their needs. Duties Meeting with clients and performing on-site evaluations Inspecting properties and identifying repair, maintenance, or renovation needs Developing detailed scopes of work Measuring and quantifying labor and material requirements Creating accurate and profitable estimates Identifying potential risks, hidden costs, and project challenges Coordinating with vendors, subcontractors, and internal team members Obtaining pricing and material information from suppliers Following up on estimates and proposals Answering customer questions and providing project recommendations Assisting with project handoff to operations and field teams Maintaining accurate records, photos, measurements, and documentation Supporting sales and business development efforts Building strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors Helping ensure projects are properly planned before work begins Experience 3 or more years of experience in construction, remodeling, property maintenance, project coordination, estimating, or a related field Strong understanding of residential construction practices Ability to inspect projects and develop detailed scopes of work Ability to accurately take measurements and quantify labor and materials Strong communication and customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Computer proficiency, including the ability to prepare estimates and maintain project documentation Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Preferred Experience While not required, the following experience is highly valued: Remodeling or renovation estimating Property maintenance management Insurance restoration estimating Facilities management Apartment maintenance supervision Construction project coordination Vendor and subcontractor management Jobber or similar field service management software Residential renovation or repair project management Who We're Looking For Who We're Looking For The right person is not necessarily an expert in every trade.
