Job Description

The Role We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Construction Estimator . You will play a vital part in our project lifecycle by providing accurate cost projections, analyzing blueprints, and putting together competitive bids that drive our company's growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities Quantity Takeoffs:
Perform accurate and detailed material and labor takeoffs from project drawings and specifications.
Cost Analysis:
Calculate total costs for labor, materials, equipment, permits, and insurance to produce comprehensive estimates.
Bid Management:
Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure trade coverage is complete and scope gaps are identified.
Vendor Negotiation:
Negotiate prices and terms to secure the most competitive rates.
Value Engineering:
Identify cost-saving alternatives and suggest improvements to reduce expenses without compromising quality.
Project Hand-offs:
Prepare detailed executive summaries and provide smooth project transitions to the construction project managers.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
3+ years of proven experience as a construction estimator or in a related construction project management role.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (strongly preferred).
Software Skills:
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, PlanSwift) and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
Analytical Skills:
Strong mathematical aptitude and extreme attention to detail.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to confidently present budgets to clients and stakeholders.
