Job Description

Midwest Maintenance & Mechanical is in search of a seasoned Construction Estimator and Project Manager with a proven track record in overseeing multiple projects at a time. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of Estimator and Project Management experience in commercial construction projects including, but not limited to: Interior/Exterior remodeling build-outs expansions ground ups

Responsibilities:
1. Review blue prints and be able to provide take off's needed for proper bidding 2. Conduct pre-bid site inspections either solely or with subcontractors based on size and scope to review plans and current conditions. 3. Create and manage project schedule 4. Apply for construction permits 5. Conduct pre-construction meeting with subcontractors / vendors a. Create meeting minute notes 6. Conduct weekly construction progress meeting with Field Superintendents a. Create meeting minute notes 7. Conduct weekly construction progress meetings as needed with Customers a. Create meeting minute notes 8. Check in daily with Field superintendents to ensure the following is being completed: a. Written daily inspection log b. Maintain project as built plan c. Project safety over site d. Maintain quality standards 9. Procure subcontractors and material vendors as required for project completion with in the scope of work accepted by the Customer and within budget. 10. Process "Proposal Requests" forms between MMM & Customer and MMM & Subcontractor / Vendor. 11. Process "Change Order" forms between MMM & Customer and MMM & Subcontractor / Vendor. 12. Project close out a. Final inspections with local code enforcement officials b. Secure "Certificate of Occupancy" c. Generate and manage timely completion of all punch list items d. Final walk through with customer e. Customer acceptance document f. Submit field project file including all daily logs, as built plans, inspections cards, etc. Travel Requirement 1. Day travel - home every night - company car provided Certificates, Licenses, Registrations 1. Current Minnesota driver's license 2. Will be required to earn and maintain on-going industry and factory-related training requirements Physical Demands 1. Must be able to life 50-75 lbs without assistance 2. Standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, lifting overhead and stretching 3. Vision requirements include the ability to see close and distant and dechipher colors Work Environment 1. Working near moving vehicles and heavy equipment 2. May be exposed to variable weather conditions and fluctuating temperatures 3. Regularly exposed to dust, odors, solvents, oil, fumes and noise 4.
