Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to develop comprehensive electrical estimates. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals. Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs, ensuring accuracy in material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Engage in negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms. Analyze project requirements in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and industry standards to ensure compliance. Collaborate closely with project managers, construction teams, and clients to align estimates with project scope and objectives. Monitor cost control throughout the bidding process and provide insights on potential risks or cost-saving opportunities. Assist in contract review and administration, ensuring all estimates align with contractual obligations and project specifications. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating, specifically within electrical or related trades. Strong electrical background with hands-on experience on construction sites or in electrical project management. Proficiency with Bluebeam, HeavyBid, NEC standards, and construction estimating software tools. Excellent negotiation skills to secure optimal pricing from vendors and subcontractors. Solid understanding of construction management principles, contracts, and project lifecycle processes. Ability to interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately. Effective communication skills to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders. Construction site experience is highly preferred to enhance estimate accuracy and project understanding.
