We currently have an exciting opportunity as an Estimator. This role is based in our Chesterfield Plant. Job Summary IPEX is seeking an Estimator person to join our IPEX Team. The incumbent will be the main liaison between sales and the plant regarding production orders, product costing, and product design or quality concerns. The incumbent's main responsibility will be to ensure accurate information is relayed in a timely manner between both parties. Responsibilities Experience in the PVC pipe and fittings manufacturing business is a considerable asset Use AutoCAD or
AUTODESK INVENTOR
to design and update both mechanical and electrical drawings via measurements of physical parts and machines Relay information to and from Customer Service Representatives and Regional Sales Managers Maintain and organize standard products costs and drawings Update, maintain and develop spreadsheets Provide project management support for large nonstandard products Liaise between plant/customer to meet promised production dates Procure materials for processing Schedule departments in the plant Follow up on quoted projects for competitive feedback-revise quotes as required. Work closely with a team of professionals to develop and improve production methods Quote industrial and municipal products, quote specifiable products as required Maintain quotes and drawings for OEM customers Manage documents for all quotes generated Provide technical support and relay information to customers Provide technical support to Sales Personnel regarding specifications for PVC piping projects Occasional quotation entry to assist Inventory management Required Skills/Qualifications 2-5 years relevant experience A degree or diploma required Strong skills in AutoCAD or
AUTODESK
INVENTOR or
SOLIDWORKS
are a must Experience in the PVC pipe and fittings manufacturing business is a considerable asset Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent time management and organizational skills Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel
