Construction Estimator/Quantity Surveyor

Employment Opportunity Management Position:

Construction Estimator Salary:

• Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications (Annual Salary Range $50,000-$90,000)

Requirements:

• Two to five years of experience in quantity takeoffs, estimating, and bid soliciting OR o Five years of experience in managing a variety of commercial and institutional projects and change management.
• Construction Management/Technology degree preferred.
• Construction field experience preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of RS Means and its applicability.

Estimator responsibilities include:

• Soliciting subcontractor/supplier quotations and evaluating the quotations.
• Performing detail quantity takeoffs and pricing self-perform work in accordance with company pricing guidelines.
• Prepare preconstruction RFI (Request for Information) documents to design consultant
• If successful with the bid, lead the buy-out/procurement process.
• Prepare Project Schedules, as needed
• Cost Codes/Schedule of Values
• Submittal and approval of materials/equipment.
• Manage sub-contractors and suppliers start-up.
• Coordinate field operations with the Superintendent at project start-up.
• Prepare close out documents, as needed.
• Assist pricing of change order work, as needed.
• Thorough and accurate estimates for all trades.
• Develop strategies to win a sufficient number of bids.
