Design and Purchasing Manager and Ownership Job Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Two Years or more of estimating for construction, cabinetry, or millwork companies. Ability to review plans, specifications, and bid documents with a high level of detail and accuracy. Very strong attention to detail. Strong skill in Microsoft Office is required (mostly in excel). Ability to read and comprehend architectural drawings and technical specifications. Possess excellent organizational and multi-task skills; must demonstrate ability to manage several activities at once, organize/prioritize work to meet internal and external deadlines. Proactive - looks for problems that could impede progress and takes responsibility for solving them. Collaboration across departments. Communicates well, supports team initiatives and works toward shared goals. A positive attitude and commitment to delivering high quality work.

Essential Job Functions:

Participate in job discovery by reviewing plans/specs and submitting questions for clarification. Create accurate and detailed millwork estimate from provided plans and specs. Work with the OZM Project Manager and Business Development Manager to review and establish project timelines and goals. Work with Business Development Manager to decide which projects are best to bid on. Constant improvement is a value of OZM, be a member of the team to build SOPs, solve issues, and improve both our quality and efficiency in the design team. Build a culture of TRUST with shop team, leadership team, and ownership. All other duties as assigned.
